EOIVC 2026 is right around the corner! Here is a quick snapshot of what lies ahead:
Applications: Applications will open on May 1 and must be submitted by 11:59pm September 12, 2026. (We will update this site with the live link when available).
Who can apply: Violinists of any nationality, who are no younger than 18 at time of submission and no older than 30 by the end of the competition (January 18, 2026).
Rounds: Competitors are selected through an intensive four-step process: online-only Qualifying Round via video submissions (May 1-September 12), in-person Preliminary Round (20 Competitors, January 8-10), Semi-Final Round (8 Competitors, January 13-14) and Finals (4 Competitors, January 18). A maximum of 20 Preliminary Round Competitors will be chosen from the online submissions.

EOIVC 2026 Jury: Andrés Cárdenes (Chairman) Ilya Kaler, Ida Kavafian, Irina Muresanu, Philip Setzer, Dmitry Sitkovetsky, & Kyoko Takezawa; Scott Flavin will serve as EOIVC 2026 Alternate Judge.
Prizes: First prize winner will receive $30,000; second $15,000; third $10,000; and honorable mention $5,000. The first prize winner will also receive performance opportunities with orchestras and festivals across the US as well as career support in the areas of management and public relations. Instruments and instrument bows crafted by some of the world’s finest artisans and additional prizes will be announced at a later date.
Travel Stipends & Accommodations: Competitors who advance to the Preliminary Round will be offered a travel stipend (up to $100 for domestic travel and up to $200 for international travel). Accommodations at the Sonesta Select (Boca Raton) includes a continental breakfast for all EOIVC Competitors who are actively competing.

About Us
The EOIVC is deeply committed to its mission of providing talented violinists, ages 18-30, who are at the start of their careers, with networking, management, public relations, community engagement and concert opportunities in addition to a monetary prize. These long-term career development tools reach well beyond financial support, actively demonstrating the strong dedication of the EOIVC to cultivating and nurturing developing musicians as well as encouraging them to engage with the communities they serve. The EOIVC is the flagship program of the Elevar Foundation.
Meet Hina Khuong-Huu
EOIVC 2023
First Prize Winner
As EOIVC 2023 first prize winner, Hina Khuong-Huu received a $30,000 cash prize provided by the David and Amy Fulton Foundation, a new violin made by Christopher Germain, a Silver-mounted Bow inspired by Elmar Oliveira’s Dominique Peccatte crafted by Rodney Mohr, a Musafia case donated by Christopher Reuning of Reuning & Son Violins, The Fulton Collection A Guided Tour as well as guaranteed national and international engagements, including a New York recital sponsored by Tarisio Fine Instruments and Bows and a performance in Cremona, Italy sponsored by Amorim Fine Violins. Hina also received three year of artist management and PR support.
Hina has performed around the globe, appearing as a soloist and collaborator with many of today's leading ensembles and musicians.
Named a "VC Artist" by The Violin Channel and following her Kennedy Center debut in 2023, Hina made her long-awaited recital debuts at Merkin Hall in New York City with pianist Rohan De Silva and at the Ljubljana Festival with pianist Kai-Min Chang. Her orchestral debuts included performances with the Symphony of the Americas, Savannah Philharmonic, Greensboro Symphony, and Brevard Symphony Orchestra.
Hina performs on a violin by Antonio Stradivari, Cremona c1722 ‘Lord Wandsworth’, which is on loan from Ryuji Ueno Foundation and Rare Violins In Consortium, Artists and Benefactors Collaborative. She currently studies with Itzhak Perlman at The Juilliard School and Columbia University through their double degree program.
